Outdoor LED display (module) routine maintenance instructions
1.Multiple modules is not bright or unusual in a row: check the power cables and data cables for the signal direction of the first module if it is in good contact. The module was without brightness for LED, it indicates no power input, please check the power supply section (available multimeter check). The emergence of color (with color chaos highlights), it indicates that the module no signal inputing, please check the first one abnormal module’s cable input it it is close, you can pull the plug to test it in several times, if the problem was still existing, you canreplace a new cable.

2, The single module is not bright: Check the module's power supply if it is good, check the module on the power outlet mainly if it is loose. If the entire module appears color confusion or inconsistent color (but there is a signal input and a correct picture) it indicates signal transmission cables is poor contacted, please re-plug the cableor replace the cable that test already. After replacing a good cable still have the same problem, please look at the PCB board interface if it has problems.

3, Detection method for a single light does not shine: Using a multimeter to check if LED is damaged. If the lamp is broken, please follow item 5 to change the lamps. The specific method of measuring light: Multimeter hit the resistance X1, the pointer multimeter black pen connected to the positive LED, the red pen connected to the negative (digital table black pen then negative red then positive), if the LED is light, the light is well, if the lamp is off, the lamp is bad.

4, LED dead spot maintenance (loss of control point): After a single lamp test and is confirmed the damage LED. According to the actual needs, We can follow maintenance methods.

Front Maintenance: Remove the screw from the front mask with a corresponding type screwdriver (take care of retaining the screws), remove the mask and change the lamps (following lamp replacement method). After replacing the lamp and colloid seal, Restore the original mask, tighten the screws (screws do not suppress the lights). Last if there is colloidal residue on the LED surface, please carefully remove the colloid.

Back maintenance: Remove the screw from the front mask with a corresponding type screwdriver (take care of retaining the screws). Unplug the signal cable, for security, please do not unplug the power cord to prevent accidents, Remove module carefully from metal holeand move it to the back of the cabinet. Then maintaining the single module according to the front maintenance method ( following lamp replacement method) or repair others.

5, Change the lamp: Using sharp tools (such as tweezers) to remove damaged colloid around the LED and make LED pins exposed clearly in sight. The right hand with tweezers to clamp the LED, left hand with a soldering iron (temperature is about 40 degrees, Excessive temperature will cause damage to the LED.) Contact the solder and make a short stop (no more than 3 seconds, if exceed the time and do not meet the demolition requirements, please cool and try again) Melt the solder and use tweezers to remove the LED. Put correct and suitable LED lamp into the hole of the PCB, (LED lamp long legs for the positive, short legs for the negative, PCB "square hole" for the LED anode pin jack, " round hole" for the LED Negative pin jack). A small amount of solder wire melting, glued to the tip, adjust the direction of the LED with tweezers to make it stable. The solder soldered in the LED and PCB connected at the same type of gel (PH value = 7) Sealed LED.

Eight Steps for Eliminating system error
Step 1: Check the Graphics Card if its setting is correct. (the setting methods have shown on the CD-ROM, please refer to.)

Step 2: Please refer to attached picture example for the connecting methods to check if system basic connection is correct, such as DVI cables, network cable socket, master card and computer PCI slot, serial port cables. 

Step 3: Check if the computer and LED power supply system meets the needs of use. If the displaying color proximity to white color(it means much power consumption), it will cause screen flashed. Just make the use suitable power supply according to the cabinet power supply requirement.

Step 4: Check the sending card's green light if it is flashing regularly or not. If it is flashing, you can follow the the Sixth Step, if it is  not flashing, restart to check if the green light is flashing regularly before entering the win98 / 2k / xp system, If it is flashing,follow the second step operation to check if DVI cable connect well.if the problem is still not yet solved, it must be something with sending card, Graphics card or DVI, so please change them in turn and following the 3rd step.

Step 5: Follow the software instructions to set or reinstall and then setting, until the green light on sending card is flashing; Otherwise, repeat step 3.

Step 6: Check whether the green light (data light) of the receiving card blinks synchronously with the green light of sending card or not. If it blinks synchronously, go to step 8 to check whether the red light (power) is on or not. If it turns on then turn to step 7. If it is not bright, please check the yellow lamp (Power Protection) whether it is brightness or not. If the yellow lamp isn’t brightness, please check the power supply is reversed or no power output, If the yellow lamp is bright, please check the power supply voltage is 5V. It it is 5V, please turn off the power, remove the adapter card, cables and retry. If the problem is not resolved, we can comfirm the receiving card is broken. Replace the receiving card, repeat step 6.

Step 7: Check if the network cable is well connected or too long (you must use a standard CAT5 cable with a maximum distance of 100 meters without repeater cable) and check whether the network cable is manufactured according to the standard ) If the problem is not resolved as a receiving card failure, replace the receiving card, repeat step 6.

Step 8: Check the big screen’s power light if it is bright. If not, turn to step 7, check the interface card adapter definition line with the cell board if they are matching or not.

Note: After connecting most of the screen body, there may be some local cabinets are without picture or truddy, it just because RJ45 network cable connection is not strong, or the receiving card power is not connected, causing the signal did not pass over, so please re-plug network cable (or swap), or plug in the receiving card power (attention to the direction) can solve this problem.
Through testing and certification to see product design and component selection

Although detection and certification of LED products is the last step to enter the market, it has an important guiding significance in product design stage. Reasonable product design can enhance product reliability, reduce EMC problem, get a quicker pass on product testing and certification, and lay the foundation on winning market for products and long-term development for enterprise.
What is LED display IP protection level?
IP protection level is composed of two numbers. First number stands for the level of anti-dust and anti exterior objects intrusion for lamps. Second number stands for the closeness degree of anti-moisture and anti water intrusion. The bigger number, the higher protection level.
How to install and configure outdoor LED advertising screen?
Installation and configuration are essential steps for better use of outdoor billboard. Technical builders who know the skills of how to build and maintain advertising screen can effectively promote the process of merchants’ advertising and information transmission, with which technical builders must get familiar. Specifically speaking, there are 4 steps to install outdoor billboard LED electronic display: field investigation, equipment construction, installation and commissioning.

First of all, we must carry out field investigation according to actual situation

Specifically speaking, parameters such as specific environment, topography, light emitting radiation range and brightness acceptance ability should be under unified tested before installing outdoor LED display. In order to ensure smooth installation of billboards, carrying out a unified hoisting project from command personnel before installation can ensure normal and stable usage of LED device. Different circumstance should be treated differently in order to take a more suitable way.

Secondly, we are about to build LED equipment after confirming specific project as to the result of field investigation. 

Concerning the build of some outdoor LED billboards, we must distinguish wall mounting advertising screen, hanging advertising screen and roof-type advertising screen. As to actual distance and height, we need to use crane and hoist to carry out subsection hoisting, while ensuring that the above staff coordinate with each other and present a better installation process. In the process of equipment construction, safety and meticulous operation can be the first requirement.

What’s more, we also need to adjust the range of emitting radiation in order to get a better transmission effect after construction.

Due to different radiation range, the construction angle of LED display can be different. On-site acceptance ability and audience’s normal viewing angle should be considered on operating installation work for outdoor LED screens, to ensure that every angle can be seen with normal and brightness balance image, subtitle information from a far distance. Wide viewing angle balancing with suitable brightness can maximize benefit.

Finally, we need to take follow-up testing and maintenance in order to successfully deliver for use.

Follow-up testing includes a wide range of aspects such as LED display water proofing, heat dissipation layer, LED surface water-proofed coating, upper rain covering range of screen, heat dissipation on two sides and power supply core. These basic components constitute the entire graphic LED display with good stability. Later stage of technical maintenance is also very important. We need to have a unified management and maintenance of these components, replacing components which getting rusted, unstable and damaged, to make sure a safety usage of the whole screen.
